I designed this scoot game as a fun review for how place value is taught using Math Expressions. Print the task cards on card stock and laminate for future use. Place the task cards in order around your classroom. Use music as a timer for the scoot. Pick 80s music or any music you like on Pandora or what you may have in your phones music library. Have students stand at their desk or place them at different desks around the room. Play the music for a minute to a minute and a half. Once music stops say scoot and they move to the next desk and start once the music plays again. Keep going until the last five to ten minutes of class to go over answers. If you decide to use in small group you can hand a couple cards to two partners in the small group to work together to solve. Then come back together to discuss the answers and how they solved them.
