Skills: Children will build, count, and draw numbers from 0- 99 with the use of base ten blocks.
Grade Level: Kindergarten through Second Grade, Special Education, ESL
You will receive a 101 page ebook which includes 3 Storage Labels, 3 Directions, 3 Spinners, 6 Place Value Mats in 2 different styles (copy as many as you need for your class), 277 Task Cards, 18 Blank Cards (not an editable file), 1 Graphics Credit Page, and a Thank You Note. See pic for what is included in aqua. The same things are also done in red and yellow. 2 different options for use of the Task Cards are included in the directions. The overall objective of these activities is to develop an understanding for numbers to 99 with a special emphasis on the development of place value. Let children use a math journal to record their answers and illustrations of the numbers. You will also need base ten blocks to use with this activity. You can always make them out of cardstock or construction paper if you do not have any. I had to do that years ago when my school did not have the luxury of base ten blocks. Great for small group activity, partner activity, or math center.
Original Artwork by Denyse Murray at Scrappin Doodles @ www.scrappindoodles.com A very special thank you goes out to Denyse for creating these base ten blocks for me several months ago to create this activity. I just now got around to getting this activity finally finished and posted.
