Description

Place Value is always a tough concept to teach, but we all know how important it is. I do my best to create meaningful lessons that are also fun. These 4 centers are very little prep and will reinforce the skills you are teaching in class!

Use these as you are teaching place value or throw them in during math centers throughout the year as a spiral review.

Base Ten Scoot

{8 problems in this short scoot game, recording sheets for expanded, word, and number form}

Place Value Scoot

{12 engaging problems that students can work on independently}

Base Ten Book

{2 booklets per page makes for easy copying. Color in the base ten blocks}

Word Problems & Place Value Mats

{Encourages critical thinking as students apply what they know about place value. Students can use these place value mats to draw or use manipulatives. Just pop in a sleeve protector for extra use!}

More or Less game

{Students practice adding and subtracting 10 and 100 to a given number with this fun, differentiated activity for 3 levels}

I'm excited to hear how you use these in your classroom!

I hope your students love these centers as much as mine.

Mahalo,

Kristen

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Understand that the three digits of a three-digit number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones; e.g., 706 equals 7 hundreds, 0 tens, and 6 ones. Understand the following as special cases:
100 can be thought of as a bundle of ten tens - called a “hundred.”
Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.
Mentally add 10 or 100 to a given number 100–900, and mentally subtract 10 or 100 from a given number 100–900.
