Use this fun Search and Rescue scavenger hunt to reinforce place value understanding! This is a great way to review prior to a test or to practice a recently learned skill. Students will enjoy the opportunity to be out of their seats solving and hunting for their answers.
-Laminate cards on colored paper and tape around the classroom.
-Each student will receive an answer sheet to record his/her work and answer.
-With a partner (or solo), students will move around the room to answer the questions.
-The answers to the questions are scattered around the room on other problem cards, so students can search for an answer if they’re stuck and need rescued.
-When students find an answer, they solve that card’s problem next!
-You may choose to make a solution station with the answer sheet for students to double-check their answers.
