Common Core Standard: CCSS.MATH. CONTENT4.NBTA.1
This set of materials is perfect for exploring the relationships within the base ten system. The new TEKs specify that students describe the relationships between places in numbers, that each place moving to the left is ten times larger than the preceding place, and moving to the right each place is ten times less.
This mini-set includes:
-A recording sheet that can be used inside any write on, wipe-off surface to practice recording a number in a place value chart and then describing the relationship between digits
-A set of 6 task cards that can be used in a variety of ways. Answer sheet is included so students can self-check
-A chant to the tune of "The Wheels on the Bus" so students can more easily remember the relationships between places
I hope these activities help you and your students!
