Place Value Rummy

Math doesn’t have to be taught with a boring worksheet. I found that using games with my students allowed them to have fun while at the same time learning the math concepts they needed.

This Place Value Rummy game is designed to help students recognize place value. It uses numbers displayed in four ways – place value blocks; groups of hundreds, tens, and ones; expanded form; and plain numeric notation. The numbers range from 3 to 1020.

This game is played like the familiar game of Rummy. Students draw and discard cards, working to make books or sets of cards that
show the place value of a number expressed in four different ways.
This game contains directions and 56 game cards, giving students. plenty of opportunity to recognize place value displayed in various forms.
