One of my class favorites: Place Value Scavenger Hunt!
Cut out the place value cards and "hide" them around the room. Send students off with the recording sheet to find the number represented with place value blocks. Each card has a letter associated with the number. Use the letters and numbers to fill in the puzzle. When students have found all the cards they will be able to read the answer to the puzzle, "Why do birds fly south for the winter". Puzzle numbers are between 1-99.
