These 28 task cards are designed to help students review many different concepts related to place value. These concepts include writing numbers in standard, expanded, or word form; rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100, or 1,000; and comparing numbers. Each of the 28 task cards has a QR code attached to it to make the activity more engaging and self-checking. Students need only to solve the problem, then scan the code with a QR scanner to reveal the answer. The cards can be used with or without a QR scanner or device.
The cards may be printed on cardstock and laminated. They are designed to be hung around the classroom or learning area for the students to find and answer. They can also be placed on a ring or put in a math center folder.
An answer key has been provided to help with grading the answers if you wish to use this as a formative or summative assessment.
The questions are aligned with VA SOL 3.1a, 3.1b, and 3.1c. They are also aligned with CCSS.Math.Content.4.NBT.A.2 and CCSS.Math.Content.4.NBT.A.3.
