Task cards are a great way to keep students engaged in learning. You can use them to play scoot, or students can work in partners to solve each card. I also use them to review a skill as a warm up. I give out cards to pairs of students and have them solve them. Then they share out with the class. As a warm up, I give out just a couple problems to the whole class, so I print the same few problems for all of the pairs of students. I also just display them on my smart board, and students come to the board and write the answers. These also work great as an activity for remediation.
I print these pages scale to fit paper. I also use card stock so that they last longer. Do a test page to see if you like the size. : )
This set includes words practice with identifying place value of digits to the hundred millions, translating numbers from standard form to expanded form, translating word names to numbers, and numbers to word names. I also included a place value slide where students can practice putting the numbers in labeled spaces. You can print these and put them in page protectors and have students use a dry erase marker on the page protector. You can also just display it as a pdf on your smart board and have the students use smart ink on it if you have that feature.
