My students absolutely love using math task cards during our math workshop time. Each rotation last between 15 and 20 minutes. I have created these activities to use during this time. They are also perfect for small groups, independent practice, and scoot. Students usually have mastered the skill or are close to mastery when working on the these activities.
I have included:
a place value chart
cover sheets with directions for each set of cards
6 sets of cards (24 cards in each set = 144 cards total)
student recording sheets
You will find the following sets of cards:
place and value
comparing numbers, ordering numbers
I suggest printing the student direction pages in color (They do look fine printed in grayscale.), laminating them and attaching each one to the front of a 9x12 envelope. Print the cards in color or in grayscale on color cardstock, laminate, and cut for student use. Place the cards in a Ziploc bag and keep them and the recording sheets inside the 9x12 envelopes.
