This game allows students to practice counting place value blocks and then they must write the value of the blocks in different forms (standard, expanded, written, or tens and ones) depending on which form they spin.
Students only need a paper clip to play and some form of recording. I usually put them in groups of 3-4 and they all write the form on a dry-erase board. Even if it is not their turn I have everyone try it out on the board so when it is time to check they all have something to compare.
There are 36 place value cards. There is a game board with the spinner. There is also a "cheat sheet" so students have something to compare answers too and spell number words correct.
