Students practice using what they know about tens and ones to tell how many as well as breaking a number apart into groups of tens and ones.
Included are 5 sheets where the students are given amounts of tens and ones and they have to tell what number that represents. There are 5 sheets where the students are given a number and they need to show how many tens and ones are in that number. There is also a blank of this sheet so you can differentiate if need be.
If you like, you can purchase craft sticks from your local craft store and have the kids bundle them into groups of tens so they'll have a concrete manipulative to help build the understanding of a group of ten working as a single unit in our number system.
Don't forget to follow my store so you'll be notified of new products that I list.
As always, I appreciate your feedback and you'll earn valuable TPT credits to use in future purchases.
