Place value with 2-digit numbers! This set has all you need for practicing tens and ones. 70 pages of task cards and matching games allow kids to practice:
*standard form, expanded form, word form, base ten blocks
*finding the value of an underlined digit in a 2-digit number
*comparing 2-digit numbers (greater than, less than, equal to)
*recognizing tens pictured as ones (for example 27 would show 0 tens and 27 ones or 34 could be 2 tens and 14 ones)
Includes the game also sold separately: "Tens and Ones - Tens as Ones".
I print multiple copies of these games/cards and laminate so large groups of kids can practice together. You can always print one or two and leave these in centers. Print in black and white to save ink.
These have been so helpful for all of my second graders, but especially those who need more visual cues and practice before attempting to complete independent tasks. These games and activity cards give them more access to visual representations of numbers and allows them the extra practice they need. Please click the preview for examples!
Please also see Place Value: Hundreds, Tens and Ones for similar practice with bigger numbers.
Happy teaching! I hope this is as helpful for you as it has been for me.
