A no prep engaging way to reinforce students' understanding of the base ten system. Game play focuses on the idea of gathering tens and ones and then trading them in for larger numbers (i.e. 17 ones are a ten and 7 ones). Students are able to add and subtract large numbers both in written form and with manipulatives to help even struggling learners be successful.
The game is designed for both school and home use. At school use base ten maipulatives and at home use the base ten recording sheet. A note to parents explaining the skills that are practiced in the game and instructions for play are included so that home enrichment or homework are closely tied to school activities. An easy way to get parents excited about what is happening in your classroom!
