ARGGHH! Are you tired of the lack of participation and motivation in your students towards math? Then, take your students on a journey through Pirate's Plunder Simulation.
Never tried a simulation? Simulations are interactive units that tie daily skills together with a culminating activity at the end of the unit.
My students have never been more engaged, motivated, and excited for math class than when I complete simulations! They look forward to each day and anticipate our final project.
Pirate's Plunder is a place value simulation. The skills covered are place value, comparing and ordering numbers, rounding to the nearest 10 and 100, addition properties, addition within 1,000 and subtraction within 1,000.
Pirate's Plunder is a 20 day unit complete with daily power points to model skills and guide the lesson, group/partner activities, exit tickets, and homework. This unit also includes a Pirate Craftivity, Place Value Lapbook, and early finisher games and activities.
Please download the preview for further explanation of the unit and an example of day in Pirate's Plunder. Please feel free to email me with any questions: firstname.lastname@example.org
