There are 12 sets of Word Form/Standard Form Matches. Students match Word Form and Standard Form. Each set comes with title cards and 7 Word Form/Standard Form matches. This material can be used as a 3-in-1 material.
3 ways to use this material:
1. Students match the word form and standard form cards. Students record their matches on the recording sheet (optional).
2. Remove the corresponding Standard Form matching cards, and provide students with blank slips of paper (cut into the same size as cards, I usually save copy paper that I’ve made mistakes with, and use the blank side and cut into small slips to keep on hand.). Students must write the corresponding Word Form match.
3. Remove the corresponding Word Form matching cards, and provide students with blank slips of paper (cut into the same size as cards, again) Students must write the corresponding Standard Form match.
This will provide students with an extra challenge and differentiation. These can also be recorded on the recording sheets, rather than using blank slips of paper.
Each set has a color border to keep them organized. Each set is also labeled by number. These sets should be printed on card stock, laminated, and then cut. This will make the material durable and last for several years. Cut on the lines to separate the word form and standard form. This material can be used by students independently (home school), at work stations/math centers, or as a Montessori material.
The cards are arranged as an answer key before cutting. Print an extra set for a control of error/answer key.
