Are you working on numbers, place value, expanded form, and number words using base ten blocks? Here's a great resource to help you review numbers from two digit numbers AND it has a winter theme. Use the snowman puzzles with your students to review their skills. Use the large set for whole group instruction and use the small set as an independent or small group math center. Worksheets are included to document their mastery.
This resource includes:
A snowman math center that reviews :
• standard number
• expanded form
• base ten display
• number word
Large display to present or review place value with tens and ones
Mini-Posters to explain standard form, expanded form, number words and base ten.
Worksheets for homework or independent class work
***Please note that the worksheets are the same ones
included in the Halloween Candy Corn resource.***
After printing the pages on index paper, add a letter or symbol on the back of the learning center so that it will be self-checking. Use letters or numbers that are the same for each section. When turned over, the pieces will be matching.
Laminate the pieces for long term use. I store center pieces in ziplock baggies and place them in a pocket folder. The baggie can go in one pocket and worksheets can go in the other pocket.
