Week 1 First students copy the words in their notebook.
I walk around and confirm that all students have the vocabulary written in their notebooks. Then give them a sticker on the front cover of their notebook.
Afterwards, we practice pronouncing with word (choral activity)
Week 2 Students learn "Quiero ir" and add a place in the community (Scaffolding)
Students practice orally (choral activity). If time permits, students practice writing full sentences on the chalk board. (Relay Race). A select two students. One goes to the left of the board and the other to the right. I say a sentence and they quickly write it on the board. The student that wins get's a sticker.
Week 3 We play "Mamá/Papá quiero ir" Students role play with a partner and take turns. One plays the child and the other the parent. Great activity to get them talking in the target language and they have fun doing it!
Week 4 We play "Mata mosca" and or " Quizlet Live" with the vocabulary
