Product Description
This PowerPoint explains what plagiarism is using Kaavya Viswanathan as an example. You might remember that she is the former Harvard student who plagiarized Megan McCarthy's novel and was very publicly "busted".

After showing a real-life example of plagiarism, the powerpoint goes on to show students how to avoid plagiarizing when completing reports.

There are 15 slides with the next to last one being a copy of the form that I use to hold students (and parents) accountable for the information on the PowerPoint. I use this every year with my sixth grade students and it seems to help cut down on the plagiarism cases.

The last slide gives proper credit to the authors of the PowerPoint which is the crux of avoiding plagiarism.

Thanks & Enjoy!
