A plan of the Roman Forum at Thuburbo Maius, a North African town about 37 miles SW of Carthage. The town was established for veterans in 27 BC by Augustus; most of its building dates to the late 2nd c AD. The forum provides a nice example of a traditional Roman Forum as opposed to the grandeur of the Roman Forum itself.
