I hand these out on the first day of school for students to tape in their locker, attach to their folder, or to tape to their mirror at home as a reminder to do the things that kids do who graduate from high school.
I teach in Wisconsin, and Wisconsin's graduation rate is 88%, which is why I encourage them to give themselves permission to be part of the "88%." I want them ALL to graduate and will let them know when they are doing well that they are securing their place in the 88% (and hopefully making that percentage rise!).
