New to this version is that the student’s time will be recorded as they run. The students will also race each other during the lesson, adding an introductory element to competition. However, the point of recording the times will be for comparison of the student to themselves. Some students will run faster running against someone than running by themselves. If the student loses the race, but ran faster than they did before, did they really lose?
This lesson works best with more mature 6-9 classes, or transition classes that have 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.
