Looking for a way to get your students to organize the information that they are learning about the planets? This little packet is for you. You can bind all 8 sheets to create a planet guide book or just have your students use these handy fact sheets to organize their notes. The packet includes a template for each of the 8 planets with basic teacher answer keys. You can use the templates with the curriculum/website of your choice or you can send your students off on a library scavenger hunt of their own to collect the information.
Students complete the following information for each planet:
-Circle the planet in based on its position in the galaxy
-Distance from the Sun
-Number of Moons
-Is it inner or outer?
-Have any spacecraft visited the planet?
-Describe the planet's atmosphere.
-Draw a picture of the planet.
-Check off the characteristics of the planet.
We have included a suggested use guide to help teachers guide their students.
A two-page template is provided for creating a travel brochure to another planet. This is a great addition to a planet research project or poster board. You can also have students work in teams to create brochures for all 8 planets.
In addition we have included two graphic organizers for helping students compare and contrast two planets.
