While I taught fourth and fifth grade, we had a large solar system unit. Students were put in small groups and had to complete a "planet report" on the planet they drew out of a hat. Students were also required to create a poster/physical representation of their planet in addition to this report. This report is clear, concise, and will allow the students to research important questions about the planet they are studying. Questions are comprehensive, however, my students especially loved to learn they would be a different weight on another planet!
