Product Description
My students were obsessed with this activity! I coordinated with our school's P.E. teacher to choose eight balls from our gym that reflected the approximate size of the planets). Students then had to guess which planet each ball best represented and labeled it with its name and descriptor. Some examples are:

Mercury - small bouncy ball (similar to what is used in the game Jacks)
Venus - I used a green wiffle ball
Earth - I used a blue wiffle ball
Mars - I used a red tennis ball (red as Mars is known as the "red planet")
Jupiter - I used a jumbo, oversized basketball
Saturn - beachball (make sure it is larger than Neptune/Uranus & smaller than Jupiter)
Neptune - kickball
Uranus - kickball (I used a blue kickball for the "blue" planet)
