As part of your zoo unit, plan a whole class or individual trips to the zoo. Students will create the path of their zoo trip and use sequencing words to describe their trip (First Next Then Last or First-Sixth).
If you are going on an actual zoo field trip, simply pick up or download that zoo's map and use it instead of the zoo map I created. You can teach this organizational writing lesson either before or after your trip.
Included is a zoo map, sequencing picture cards for the pocket chart, and two types of writing options (book and cut and paste page).
