As an Elementary ESL teacher, I am always looking for ways to integrate the four domains of language with grade level content standards. I created these activities to help support content while practicing speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You can use these as stand -alone activities, end of the unit review, or practice for annual ESL testing like the WIDA ACCESS.
In this pack, each practice activity uses plant life cycles content with a language domain.
For the speaking domain, there is background information, model examples, questions for students to answer, and a rubric.
For the listening domain, there is a teacher script, big picture, questions for the students to respond to, and an answer key.
For the reading domain, there is a text to read, questions for the students to answer, and an answer key.
For the writing domain, there is background information, a writing prompt, writer's checklist, and a rubric.
**Please note, I use these activities with elementary ESL students grades 3-5 who are at the intermediate to high levels of language acquisition.**
