This interactive folding notes page is designed to teach students the fundamental structure and function of the four main components of a plant: roots, stems, leaves, and flowers. The note portion under each tab is fill-in-the-blank. This foldable can be used at lower grade levels as well as in higher grades as a quick review of the basic parts of plants and their functions. I use it in my biology classroom but have also given it to 1st grade teachers who teach the parts of plants and they love it.
Based on TpT feedback I have added a notes page for lower grade levels and a notes page for higher grade levels.
Ideas for Use:
• At lower grades, allow students to use it as a coloring page after going over the notes.
• I included a flower that depicts the male and female reproductive organs. At higher grade levels have the students color each part of the flower a different color and place a key to those colors on the inside tab.
• Have your students glue/tape this foldable in their science notebooks.
