This tool is meant to support students with mild-moderate disabilities in inclusive classroom settings.
Choose the vocabulary words that your student can master. Make the goal high, yet realistic.
Then begin by having the student learn to just label the parts. Monitor their progress with the tools included.
To make it more advanced, after the student can label each term, have the students describe the features of the terms, the functions of each term and then classify each word appropriately. Cues are on the backs of each card to assist adults in providing this level of structure.
Elements are also included for students to practice independently. If you use the TEACCH structure, this is a great printable work basket activity or task box idea for the more advanced learners who still need that high level of structure in order to succeed!
