Plant Unit Cross-curricular Sequencing Word Work Spelling Vocabulary Activities

*Little Seed Poem: An original poem about growing a flower. Could be used as an introduction to plant unit as well as a group reading activity. Color & bw copies.

*Fill-in-the-Blank: A handout filling in missing words from the introductory poem using a word bank.

*Word Scramble: A cut and paste activity where students create new words out of the letters of "harvest".

*Sequencing: Students will cut out five steps of a plant's life cycle and paste them in the order that they occur.

*ABC Order (2 worksheets): Students cut out words and paste them in ABC order. 2 levels of difficulty for differentiation.

*Parts of Speech Sorting: Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives

*Acrostic Poems: Students write acrostic poems for "Garden" and "Seeds".

*Cryptogram and Word Search Puzzles
