3) Plant Needs Flap Activity: Students draw, label, and use construction paper flaps to learn about the 4 basic needs of a plant. (2 pages)
4) What A Plant Needs: Students draw pictures and label the 4 basic needs of a plant. Another quick assessment!
5) Seed Comparisons: Students observe various seeds and record their findings on this chart.
6) Measuring Plants: Students measure plants and record data over a 15 day period.
7) Light Experiment: Students conduct an experiment to observe the effects of light on plants.
8) Water Experiment: Students conduct an experiment to observe the effects of water on plants.
9) Animals, Wind, or Water? Minibook: Students fill in parts of a mini-book about how seeds travel.
10) Water Travel Through a Plant Experiment: Students conduct and experiment about how water travels through plants.
11) Stages of Growth Game: Students play a board game to practice identifying different stages of growth. (directions & game cards also included)
12) Plant Detectives Minibook: Students read their minibook with a partner and investigate different ways plants are useful.
13) Parts of a Plant Salad Activity: Students assemble a salad and identify each part of the plant that they use.
14) Life Cycle of a Plant Class Book: Students draw and label plant life cycles and create a class book.
