Product Description
What better way to learn than to create a model with food and eat it! In this hands-on lesson, students will be learning about the parts and functions of plant and animal cells. A step-by-step lesson plan will give you all you need to prepare for this engaging activity. There is also a Plant/Animal Cell Diagram and Functions of Cell Parts overhead to help with understanding and learning the parts. Students will create the cells with provided jello and candy/food parts to represent the following organelles:
-chloroplast
-vacuoles
-nucleus
-membranes
-cell wall
-mitochondria
-ribosomes
Then, they will use their models to quiz each other. They must locate the organelle in their model and explain the function in order to eat it.
