PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

-ed endings updated 2016

This product contains two centers focusing on adding the -ed endings to short vowel words. The first activity is a great game to help students learn whether or not to double the consonant when adding -ed endings to short vowel words. Students select a card, place it on the correct sorting mat, and then spell the word according to the 1+1+1doubling rule. "Fun" cards are added for extra excitement!
The second activity focuses on the three sounds the -ed ending makes. Students take turns selecting cards and placing the card on the correct -ed ending sound. "Fun" cards can be used for this game as well!
