Seed to Plant Log - Printable Student Recording Book

Learn about plants in your classroom with this simple and fun science experiment.

Ask your students to plant a seed (e.g. bean seed) on damp cotton in a clear plastic cup in your classroom. Watch and see what happens!

The pages in this file will allow you to make a cute observation recording log for each your students.

Students will be asked to draw and/or write in their log each day to record the progress from seed to plant.

The cup-shaped book will help your students record what they see happening as the weeks progress.

Included in the file, is a 2-page 'procedural text' for 'How to Grow a Plant'. You can read this with your students before or after you actaully make them in the classroom.

I have also provided a writing paper so that students can write their own procedural text to record what they have learned in this activity, or apply it to another 'How to' experience.

Have fun for Spring or Earth Day!
