A science packet of six labs using the cheap plastic jumping frogs (there are links to finding them on-line). These can be purchased at Oriental Trading, Amazon, US Toy, etc.
Students must describe the frog and think about the science behind it, find the farthest distance it can jump, compare distances of two different frogs, examine landings of two frogs, check how many jumps to reach a certain distance, and compare its jumping capabilities to an origami frog they create using an index card. There is also a set of science wrap-up questions at the end as well as lab questions throughout. There are two definition posters included, one for POTENTIAL ENERGY and one for KINETIC ENERGY!
