Description

Close Reading is an essential strategy for helping your students achieve the Common Core. This two-day lesson plan and original article lead students through a simple Close Reading protocol, adapted from work by Fisher and Frey, culminating in a Performance Task that helps students demonstrate their understanding. The content ties in to Disciplinary Core Ideas for fourth grade from the NGSS, and the CCSS Standards tie to fourth and fifth grade literacy standards.
