Really fun lab incorporated into plate tectonics solidifying the concept of plate tectonics. Lab steps are provided in color and with diagrams. Students apply the convection current diagram to a lab involving beakers, a hot plate, and food coloring. Kids love it! This can be a cut and paste or laminate and velcro activity. This is a modified version of a standard textbook convection lab. This was used across all levels of college prep and special education earth science. Enjoy!
