9 page color earthquake note organizer - fun for all levels! Used in an 8th grade earth science classroom. Effective for special education students, modified college prep lessons, and alternative assessment. Key terminology and concepts covered: faults, epicenter, focus, plate boundaries, seismograph, seismometer, locating an epicenter, P waves, S waves, and L waves. Students complete a variety of work activities and demonstrate various skills culminating in locating an earthquake epicenter using the developed knowledge of P waves, S waves, L waves, and a S-P wave chart. Answers are color coded.
