Play Dough Mats - Alphabet, Numbers, and Shapes
This Play Dough Activity contains 3 sets of mats students use to practice forming letters, numbers 1-10, and shapes. Instruct students to roll the dough into a snake and bend it to form the objects shown on the mat.
You receive: 26 alphabet mats, 10 number mats with ten frames, and 12 shape mats.
Each set of mats comes in both color and black lines (96 total pages). Print on cardstock and laminate for durability. Plastic sheet protectors also work well.
Other Ideas: Instead of using play dough, students can trace the letters, numbers, or shapes. Use a dry erase marker for a write and wipe activity. Use different colored crayons for a “rainbow writing” activity. Try using yarn or pipe cleaners for a fun alternative.
These play dough mats are a fun and engaging way to reinforce beginning math and language skills. They can be used for early finishers, small groups, center activities, and more!
