Product Description

These are PLAYDOUGH MATS to make PLAYDOUGH FOOD! Children must fill in the missing piece of the food (ie: seeds for the watermelon, pepperoni on the pizza). These 27 mats include a variety of foods (watermelon, licorice, pizza, pretzels, apples, oranges, cake etc.). The mats are VERY simplistic, so that students can be successful. The food are is made out of very simple shapes / forms for students to complete (circles, squares, ropes, etc). This does not include fancy clipart, so if you are looking for something that is more complex, this is not the product for you.

There is one page that includes visual direction and explanation of suggested grasps / movements for playdough.

Each picture includes visual directions of what the food item should look like when it is done. However, you do NOT have to use the same playdough color as the picture. Each page has simple directions with the same format that follows this:

“Uh oh! The ___ are missing on the _____. Make ____ and put them on the _____! “ (Singular forms included)

Some foods are used more than once (ie: 3 different watermelon pictures, 2 different ice cream, 2 different cake pictures etc). Although they are the same food item, they are missing a different piece on each picture.

This needs to be laminated so students can put playdough on the mats and also so the playdough does not make the paper damp.
