Play is a language all children share. The ability and the desire to play are deeply embedded in the heart of each child, for through play, learning occurs, socialization is exercised, and the world is meaningfully yet uniquely engaged. Time, unfortunately, and schedules specifically, are typically the enemy of creative play; so very much to do, so very little time. Consequently, play frequently finds itself on the chopping block with similar immeasurable and seemingly superfluous learning activities. Research, however, reflects the disastrous results of this choice. Creative play is essential for the healthy growth and development of children. Play is essential for children of all ages. Play is essential for all of us. Play is indeed the root of creativity and creativity is the root of innovation.
One Arts Infusion Collaborative seeks to create arts-related resources that support and enhance curricular content, celebrate holidays, and inspire the exercising of imaginations.
