Playdough Addition with 10 Frame - Math Center (for sums up to 20)
Directions for use
I made this game with the intention of it being used with play dough, but its uses are not limited there. Following is an outline of how the materials in this packet can be used.
Children spread the number cards out on the table in front of them and sort them into three piles by their colour. The aim is for children to make an equation using the blue and green cards and work out the sum using play dough on the 10 Frame Mat provided. The answer is selected from the orange cards and placed at the end of the equation. Children can then record their answers on the recording sheet provided. You may also ask your children to shape out the full equation with play dough. Alternatively, you may like to use a dry erase marker instead of play dough.
Happy Teaching :)
