*This download includes files for both U.S note names and U.K note names
A collection of drum beats, rudiments, rhythms and reading exercises for the beginner to intermediate drummer.
The drum lesson material is best used with a drum tutor/teacher. While a lot can be learnt through free lessons from sources such as YouTube, a real-life teacher will be able to give you the best feedback and advice.
The drum lesson material does not explain how to hold the drum sticks or how to adopt the correct technique. It is designed to provide exercises that focus on learning new drum beats, developing coordination and improving reading skills.
Learning to read music is an excellent skill to have. A drummer who can read music will make themselves much more versatile and will be able to perform in a larger variety of ensembles.
This download has 2 copies of the book; one with U.S note names and another with U.K note names.
U.S - Uses names, whole, half, quarter, eighth and sixteenth notes
U.K - Uses names semibreve, minim, crotchet, quavers, semiquavers (also used by Australia and other Commonwealth nations)
