Use a deck of playing cards or UNO cards to learn about place value. Each place value has its own sheet: Hundreds, Thousands, Ten Thousands, Hundred Thousands
My students have always enjoyed practicing place value with this game. I sometimes use my other version which has them write the expanded notation also for each number they create. For Hundreds and Thousands sheet, they can place the cards on the boxes drawn on the sheet. However, for Ten Thousands and Hundred Thousands, there is not room to place 5 or 6 cards so they just write the numbers in the smaller squares. This is an easy take home practice sheet also. You can use in math center, independent seat activity, group activity, etc.
