* Note to buyers - This set of plant themed centers includes many activities that were previously sold individually in our store. They have now all been combined, updated with new font and graphics and had some new activities added.
Blooming Contractions - Students will plant each contraction flower in the matching flower pot.
Flower Power Homophone Match - Students will match basic sets of homophones.
Literacy Centers Include:
Growing Base Words - Students will draw a base word and move around the suffix (-s, -ed, -ing) gameboard to create words. They will practice using the word correctly in a sentence and record it on their record sheet.
All About Plants Sentence Scramble - Students will unscramble each set of words to create a complete sentence about plants. They will record each sentence on their record sheet using correct capitalization and punctuation.
Ripe or Rotten Word Sort - Students will decode the word printed on each vegetable card and decide if it is a ripe (real) word or rotten (nonsense) word. They will record each word in the correct column on their record sheet.
Ending "Y" Sound Sort - Students will read each word and decide if the ending "y" makes the long /i/ or long /e/ sound. They will record the words on their record sheet in the correct column.
Math Centers Included:
Flytrap Math - Students will draw two cards and place them on the gameboard to make a greater than or less than number sentence. They will record their work on the record sheet.
Peas In a Pod Fact Families - Students will use the three numbers printed on each set of peas to write two addition and two subtraction number sentences.
It's Time to Bloom - Students will match each analog clock with the correct digital clock. They will record their answers on the record sheet and draw the hands on each clock.
Shopping For Veggies - Students will add sets of tens and ones (without regrouping) to purchase items from the garden. They will record their work on the record sheet to show how much the items they purchase cost.
