A plexar is a picture puzzle of a word or phrase that is solved by considering several factors about the picture.
1. The position of the picture/word on the page.
2. The direction of the print on the page.
3. The number of times a picture/word appears on the page.
4. The size of the picture/word.
Plexars are great for early finishers and for developing those higher order thinking skills. My
second graders were able to solve these puzzles after just a little instruction and practice.
