The first page of this flip chart labels each of the five elements of plot: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. The following five pages define each of these elements. This chart is the perfect addition to your students’ interactive notebook. Students will use this flip chart as a reference for analyzing plot in stories and novels throughout the year.
Simply print each of the three pages. Have students cut out the six rectangles and arrange them on a pile from longest (bottom) to shortest (top). Staple the pile of papers twice at the top, and have students glue or tape it in their notebook.
