In this activity students will read a story (included in product) and chart its main events on the provided plot diagram. They can also chart the story element on a provided story elements graphic organizer. Here is a detailed description of each page:
Page 1: Plot Diagram: includes 5 main parts (Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, Resolution) with descriptors and space for students to chart the story on the plot diagram.

Page 3: Story Elements Chart. Chart includes: Setting, Characters, Events, Conflict, Type of Conflict, Resolution, Theme, Evidence of Theme

Pages 5-6: Story, "The First and Last Time I Stole Something" (original story written by me)
You can use the plot diagram and story elements chart with the included story or for another story of your choice.
This activity can be used for sub plans, as an assessment, in learning stations, whole-group instruction, homework, writer's workshop to diagram their own stories/narratives or that of a mentor text, etc!
