This activity is designed to give students a fun way to practice identifying the elements of plot and can be used with ANY short story!
Print or copy side 1 and side 2 of the worksheet to be 2 sided. The circles will match up where students will be able to cut out the wheel and have each side already together. If you cannot copy two sided, the students can simply cut out both circles and glue them together.
On side 1, students identify each element of plot relating to any short story you have assigned. On side 2, students draw a visual image to represent that part of the story.
My middle school students LOVE to color, and it engages them so much more than a regular worksheet. These are perfect to hang in your room or on a bulletin board when students complete the activity. This activity can also be used for any novel.
This worksheet can also be printed on card stock to make it more sturdy.
