This interactive plot line game helps students learn the elements of plot in a fun, engaging, hands-on game with 36 game cards that will help them to build a new story each time they play! 36 game cards include exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution story elements with two ways to play. Students can play to win and/or play to write.
When students play to win, they take turns acting as "judge" as each player place a story element card face side down on the board. The judge chooses the best story element and that player wins the round. Play continues until groups have built an entire plot line.
When students play to write, they take turns placing cards on the board working together as a group until they build the best story possible. Once they have a plot line they are happy with, they each quick write a narrative based on the plot line, then share their stories to see how each student used the elements of plot.
Either way students play, they will have a blast building plot lines and learning the elements of plot in this engaging game for middle school ELA.
